Intro

Welcome to my Yasashii Tamagotchi page! Here I'll tell you all about my experiences with the Yasashii Tamagotchi, one of the rarest vintage tamagotchis that released in September 1998. This page is heavily inspired by the websites Ginjirotchi.ca and Mimitchi.com. Please check them out!

The Yasashii Tamagotchi, roughly translating to "Easy" or "Gentle" Tamagotchi, is a vintage tama meant to provide an easier care experience for the owner. According to official tamagotchi lore,

"Professor Banzo, who invented the first Tamagotchi toy for them to live in, still wanted to experiment on making a more comfortable environment for the Tamagotchis to live. He and Mikachu eventually create the Yasashii, a larger, more comfortable home for the Tamagotchi to live in with greater ease of providing care." - Yasashii Wiki

"The Yasashii Tamagotchis, also known as "YasaTamagotchis", are Tamagotchis that were born and raised on Earth. Thus, they only know about Tamagotchi Planet based on stories from older Tamagotchis who had lived there. The YasaTamagotchis are excited to return to their home planet for the first time." - Yasashii Wiki

The Yasashii is distinct from other vintage tamagotchis in that it is nearly 5x larger (10cm tall), has 6 large buttons for care that light up instead of screen options, and a kick stand to prop it up. During it's original release, it was not a popular tamagotchi and thus sales & production were low. There are very few Yasashii Tamagotchi on the market now adays, and they can range anywhere from $450-$1000+ USD in price. They are as rare, if not more, as the infamous Devilgotchi.

As of August, 21st, 2021, I officially own my first Yasashii Tamagotchi! I purchased the Blue shell Yasashii (my favorite) from Buyee for about $500. I'm super excited to try it out, log my experiences, upload pictures, and more. Feel free to browse through my photos and logs; I hope you enjoy your experience!

P.S. One thing I LOVE about this page is how I designed it like the blue yasashii tamagotchi :P

Collection

My first Yasashii acquired on 8/21/2021. It cost $487.24 + shipping. It's my rarest tama (aside from my Devilgotchi maybe).
